BAGUIO CITY — PRO Cordillera regional director David K. Peredo, Jr. meticulously inspected the operational Commission on Elections (COMELEC) checkpoints within the confines of Baguio City.
 
This proactive measure aimed to ascertain their strict adherence to the prescribed directives and regulations outlined in COMELEC Resolution No. 10924.
 
During the inspection, PBGEN Peredo Jr. was accompanied by a distinguished group including PROCOR deputy regional director for Operations Ronald V. Gayo; Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) city director Francisco B. Bulwayan, Jr.; Regional Operations Division assistant chief Jolly N. Ngaya-an; RMFB15 acting force commander Ruel Tagel; BCPO Mobile Patrol Unit (MPU) commander Canipas Manuel, Jr.; COMELEC-Cordillera regional director Julius Torres; COMELEC-Baguio election officer John Paul A. Martin; and representatives from the media.
 
Over the course of August 27th and 28th, 2023, Peredo Jr. diligently conducted inspections on the following checkpoints spanning from 11:40 PM on the 27th to 1:45 AM on the 28th:
  • BCPO Marcos Highway Police Station 10 (PS10) headed by station commander James S. Dogao;
  • BCPO Legarda Police Station 5 (PS5) headed by PMAJ Nixon T. Budikey;
  • BCPO Abanao Police Station 7 (PS7) headed by station sommander Lee Alvin B. Alinao; and
  • BCPO Camdas Police Station 2 (PS2) headed by station commander Wiltz Konrad A. Sally.
As per the Regional Operations Management Division’s reports, a total of 91 PNP-COMELEC checkpoints have been set up across the entire Cordillera region.
