Police capture several long-sought individuals
BAGUIO CITY — A man identified as Evan Tanglod Eyeg, 34 years old and currently working as a waiter, was arrested on August 9, 2023, around 7:35 PM at Lower Magsayay, Baguio City, in an operation conducted by joint operatives of Marcos Highway Police Station PS10-BCPO, CIU, and CIDMU.
Eyeg, who resides at KM 3, Stone Hills, Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet, was taken into custody based on a Warrant of Arrest issued on the same day by Hon. Jeanylene T. Isip-Fukai, Acting Judge of the Municipal Trial Court In Cities, First Judicial Region, Branch 3, Baguio City.
The warrant was issued in connection to a case of theft, specifically Criminal Case number 760-23-CR-MTCC.
The court set a recommended bail of PhP10,000.00.
Following the arrest, Eyeg was brought to PS10-BCPO for proper documentation procedures.
Earlier, at approximately 10:55 AM, a successful arrest was carried out by joint operatives of La Trinidad MPS (Lead Unit) and RID-COR.
The apprehended individual was identified as Gerry Arcala Manglicmot, a 41-year old single male.
Eyeg, an overseas filipino worker (OFW), is a native of Olongapo City, and currently resides atWindy Hill, Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet.
The arrest was executed based on a Warrant of Arrest that was issued by Hon. Dorina S. Castro-Baltazar, Assisting Judge of Regional Trial Court of Bataan, Third Judicial Region, Branch 3, Balanga City.
The warrant was issued in connection with a case involving the Violation of Section 5 (I) of RA 9262, documented under Criminal Case No. 20030.
The warrant specified a recommended bail amount of PhP72,000.00.
Following the arrest, the accused was brought to La Trinidad MPS for proper documentation prior turnover to the concerned court.
The operations adhered to the use of an Alternative Recording Device to ensure transparency and accuracy in the process.
The apprehension of the accused individuals demonstrate the commitment of law enforcement agencies to uphold the law and bring individuals involved in criminal activities to justice.
The cases will proceed through the appropriate legal channels in the pursuit of a fair and just resolution.
Meanwhile, in the province of Kalinga, the intensified manhunt operations conducted by PRO Cordillera police led to the arrest of Remynad Cabe at Brgy. San Quintin, Rizal, on August 7, 2023.
Cabe had managed to escape from prison and had evaded capture for nearly nine (9) years.
