BAGUIO CITY — A senior citizen who is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease was reunited with his family after he went missing while on vacation in Baguio City.
 
According to the Regional Mobile Force Battallion 15 (RMFB15), they immediately alerted all their units to conduct patrolling after receiving information about an elderly man who lost his way while visiting a mall in Baguio City on August 5.
 
The aforementioned report revealed that on the late evening of August 7, 2023, during their mobile patrol, the Technical Support Company (TSC) of RMFB15, led by TSC officer-in-charge Jim Cris D. Dagdag, discovered Mr. Victor “Vic” Advento, aged 69 and hailing from Laguna, at a waiting shed in Camp 4, Tuba, Benguet.
 
He was promptly handed over to the Kennon Road Police Station (PS8) of the Baguio City Police Office (CPO), where Deputy Station Commander Laurence C. Aspilan welcomed him and provided him with food and clothing.
 
Subsequently, Mr. Advento was transported to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) to receive medical attention for his pelvic and lower back injuries, specifically in the Gluteal area.
 
Mr. Advento’s family expressed heartfelt gratitude upon being reunited with him, extending their appreciation to the dedicated police officers of RMFB15 and the Kennon Road Police Station.
 
They commended their swift response and the invaluable assistance provided.
