BAGUIO CITY — A suspect identified as Kim Cadiogan Estong, aged 29, was apprehended at approximately 9:40 AM on July 1, 2023, in a joint operation conducted by Camdas Police Station, CIDG-Baguio, RID, CIT RIU 14, CIU, and CIDMU.
Estong, a resident of Motorpool, Wangal La Trinidad Benguet, and a native of Bokod Benguet, was arrested at Clean Fuel along Bokawkan Road in Barangay Cresencia, Baguio City.
The apprehension of Estong was carried out based on a Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Hilario V Belmes, the Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, First Judicial Region, Branch 78, Baguio City.
The warrant was issued in connection with a violation of Section 3 of Republic Act 10883, also known as the New Anti-Carnapping Law.
The case against Estong is docketed under Criminal Case No. 46874-R.
The recommended bail bond for his release is set at Php180,000.00.
Following the arrest, Estong was taken to PS2, BCPO for documentation purposes before being turned over to the issuing court.
The law enforcement officers involved in the operation utilized body-worn cameras to record the proceedings.
