DIDM nationwide validation ceremony in Benguet concludes successfully
LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The 4-day nationwide validation organized by the Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management (DIDM) came to a successful conclusion on Friday, September 15, 2023, with the presence of high-ranking officers, police chiefs, and investigators from various police units.
PCOL Restituto V. Arcangel, Chief of the Crime Research and Analysis Center at the DIDM, presided over the closing ceremony held at the 4th Floor Function Hall of the Benguet Provincial Capitol Legislative Building.
Physically present at the ceremony were distinguished guests, including PCOL Charles Domallig, Chief of the Regional Intelligence and Detective Management Division; PCOL Damian Olsim, Provincial Director of Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO); PCOL Francisco Bulwayan, Jr., City Director of Baguio City Police Office (BCPO); as well as Chiefs of City and Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Divisions from both Benguet PPO and BCPO.
Additionally, Chiefs of Police (COP) from various municipal and city police stations within Benguet PPO and BCPO were in attendance.
The gathering also included representatives from the Highway Patrol Group, PNP-Philippine Drug Enforcement Group, Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit, Aviation Security Group, and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.
Participants from other provinces, such as Abra PPO, Apayao PPO, Ifugao PPO, Mountain Province PPO, and Kalinga PPO, joined the event via an online conferencing platform.
The ceremony was concluded by PCOL Arcangel, who conveyed the message of PMGEN Eric E. Noble, the Director for Investigation and Detective Management.
In his message, he expressed his gratitude to all attendees for their dedication and challenged them to continue and improve their investigative work in their respective units.
The annual DIDM Nationwide Validation plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data generated by police units across the country.
It serves as a mechanism to validate and maintain the quality of crime records, ensuring they accurately reflect the current crime landscape.
