Cordillera police celebrate promotions with pride and unity

CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – The spirit of pride and happiness radiates at the parade ground of Camp Major Bado Dangwa as families, colleagues, and promotees gather for the simultaneous oath-taking,donning, and pinning of ranks of the 2nd Level Uniformed Personnel CY 2023 Regular Promotion and 1st Quarter CY 2024 PLTCOL continuous promotion program held Monday, March 25, 2024. 
 
PRO Cordillera Regional Director David K. Peredo, Jr. led the oath-taking ceremony of 2,242 police officers from the different units of the Police Regional Office Cordillera.
 
Of the 2,242 promotees, 158 are Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs), and 2,084 are Police Non-commissioned Officers (PNCOs). 
 
For the PCO positions, two were promoted to Police Lieutenant Colonel, eight to Police Major, 46 to Police Captain, and 102 to Police Lieutenant.
 
For the PNCOs, 101 were promoted to Police Executive Master Sergeant, 194 to Police Chief Master Sergeant, 272 to Police Senior Master Sergeant, 428 to Police Master Sergeant, 897 to Police Staff Sergeant, and 190 to Police Corporal. 
 
The promotees underwent rigorous screening processes conducted by the PRO Cordillera Promotion Board, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to duty and professionalism.
 
Only the most deserving candidates emerged successfully from the CY 2023 Regular Promotion Program.
 
In his message, PBGEN Peredo, Jr. congratulated the newly promoted officers, reminding them of the profound responsibility that comes with their new ranks.
 
He emphasized the importance of leadership, mentorship, and setting a positive example for their peers.
 
The ceremony is part of a nationwide initiative for the simultaneous mass oath-taking, donning, and pinning of ranks for 2nd Level Uniformed Personnel promoted under the CY 2023 Regular Promotion Program.
 
It signifies a collective commitment to upholding excellence and integrity within the Philippine National Police.
