LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Camp Major Bado Dangwa, a bastion of law enforcement in the Cordillera region, reached a significant milestone in its commitment to a drug-free environment.
In a stirring declaration ceremony held at the Masigasig Grandstand within the camp’s premises, the site was officially declared a drug-free workplace.
The momentous event was led by the PRO Cordillera regional director PBGEN David K. Peredo, Jr., and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Cordillera acting regional director Julius M. Paderes.
The ceremony’s highlight came with the unveiling of the emblematic marker signifying the achievement of a drug-free status.
The distinguished occasion was witnessed by top officials within the PNP Cordillera, including deputy regional director for Administration PBGEN Patrick Joseph G. Allan, deputy regional director for Operations PCOL Elmer E. Ragay, chief regional staff PCOL Julio S. Lizardo, as well as chiefs from various Regional Support Units, alongside other personnel from PRO Cordillera.
PBGEN Peredo, Jr. was presented with a prestigious plaque confirming the fulfillment of the criteria outlined in Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation No. 13, Series of 2018.
This regulation, aimed at establishing and perpetuating drug-free workplace policies across government offices, mandates authorized drug testing for elected local officials, appointed public officers, and other designated purposes as outlined by the PRO Cordillera Drug-Free Workplace Committee.
