MANILA, Philippines — BDO Unibank Inc. is boosting incentives for digital transactions with a new referral program on its BDO Pay app, offering users cash rewards while streamlining everyday payments.

The “Refer a Friend” promo allows existing users to invite family and friends with BDO accounts to download and register on BDO Pay using a referral code until June 30, 2026.

Both the referrer and the new user receive ₱50 in cash credits upon successful registration and code entry. Users can earn up to ₱1,000 per month through referrals, the bank said.

The initiative is part of BDO’s push to expand adoption of its mobile payment platform, which enables users to settle bills, send money and split expenses directly from their smartphones.

To participate, users can access the referral feature within the app, copy or share their code through messaging platforms, and guide recipients through the sign-up process.

Beyond the referral program, BDO Pay offers a range of digital payment services, including QR-based merchant payments, bill payments to more than 2,100 partners with no fees, and fund transfers.

Transfers to other BDO accounts are free, while transactions to other banks and digital wallets cost ₱10.

The app also integrates credit card management features, allowing users to lock or unlock cards, monitor services and access installment options. Cardholders can continue earning rewards points, redeem them for e-gifts or convert them into bill payments.

BDO said users without existing accounts may still access the app by opening a basic account with no initial deposit or maintaining balance.

The bank continues to position BDO Pay as an all-in-one digital payment solution, combining convenience, security and rewards for everyday financial transactions.
