BAGUIO CITY — The Baguio Christmas Market 2025 officially opened on December 5, 2025 at the Rose Garden in Burnham Park, as part of the city’s annual An Enchanting Baguio Christmas celebration.

The opening program featured vibrant performances from local dance groups including the UC Dance Company, Baguio Metamorphosis, Allongé Dance Studio, BCNHS SPA Dance Ballet, and UB Graces.

This year’s exhibitors introduced a Western-inspired theme, with store designs reflecting European styles and a replica of the Eiffel Tower as one of the highlights.

Visitors flocked to the Rose Garden to dine, shop, and enjoy the festive atmosphere, while the fireworks display capped the evening in brilliance.

Origins

The tradition of the Christmas Market at the Rose Garden began in December 2021, when Baguio launched its inaugural market as part of An Enchanting Baguio Christmas.

That first edition transformed the Rose Garden into a festive “Christmas village,” and its success laid the foundation for what has now become an annual attraction.

Growth and Legacy

Since 2021, the Christmas Market has expanded in scale and popularity, evolving into one of the city’s most anticipated holiday highlights.

Each year, new themes and exhibitors have added variety, while performances and fireworks continue to anchor the celebration.

Meanwhile, An Enchanting Baguio Christmas itself traces its beginnings to 2019, conceptualized by Ferdinand John Balanag with support from the Philippine Military Academy.

Now on its 5th year, the festival blends military precision with classical artistry, featuring the PMA Silent Drill Exhibition, Toy Soldier Parade, and Ballet Baguio’s Nutcracker Suite.

Together, the festival and the Christmas Market showcase how Baguio celebrates the season with both local tradition and global inspiration, making December in the City of Pines a time of wonder and shared joy.
