PAMPANGA, Philippines — The Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), through the 1st Civil Relations Group (CRG), Civil Relations Service, AFP, in collaboration with the Philippine Air Force Tactical Operations Group 3, conducted an Information Education Campaign (IEC) on the West Philippine Sea (WPS) for more than 200 student leaders of Mary the Queen College (MQC), Pampanga.
The activity, held on August 14, 2025, was part of the Campus Peace and Development Forum jointly initiated by the 5th Fighter Wing, PAF, Basa Air Base, Floridablanca, and MQC.
Partner agencies included the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) Region 3 and the Police Regional Office, Guagua, Pampanga.
Series of Lectures for Student Awareness
Several lectures were conducted to raise awareness among the youth on issues concerning national security, peace, and personal well-being. Topics included:

The discussions emphasized the importance of protecting national sovereignty, exposing the illegal, coercive, and aggressive actions of the People’s Republic of China, and encouraging the youth to take an active role in nation-building.
Active Participation of Student Leaders
MQC student leaders and faculty members actively engaged with the speakers, expressing their support for peace, development, and the defense of Philippine sovereignty.
The event also featured flyer distribution, a photo gallery display, and video screenings to reinforce the WPS advocacy.
A highlight of the activity was the “Post It Support WPS!” initiative, where participants wrote personal messages of support on sticky notes and displayed them on a board, symbolizing unity in defending the country’s territorial rights.
Commitment to Sovereignty and Peace
NOLCOM reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, vowing to continue its mission as a Jointly-Engaged, Sustainment-Maintained, and Readiness-Trained Force dedicated to lasting peace and progress.
