“Benguet Explosion” promises thrilling night of fierce combat

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The highly anticipated “Benguet Explosion Martial Arts Tournament” is set to ignite the Benguet Sports Complex with a riveting lineup of ten mixed martial arts bouts and three kickboxing matches on December 9.

Presented by the Province of Benguet and Congressman Eric Go Yap, the event is geared up to deliver a night of adrenaline-pumping action for fight enthusiasts.

Headlining the event is the illustrious Jean Claude Saclag, a multi-gold medalist at the Southeast Asian Games.

Saclag is poised to lock horns with the formidable Ronald Regalado in a high-stakes bantamweight clash that promises fireworks.

Among the other headline matchups, ONE Warrior Series – Philippines champion Adonis Sevilleno will enter the ring against Reden Manguiat, while the battle between Nahuel Gandolfi and Rone Deliu is expected to be a collision of titans.

Joris Jonker and Mark Obrero are set to engage in a thrilling catchweight bout, while Conan Dela Peña and Neptali Ticar are geared up for a face-off in what is anticipated to be an intense showdown.

Spearheaded by Fairtex, Infini Tea, Cowboy Town La Trinidad, Lepatisserie Cafe, Talamas, Kabayan mayor Junjun Bantales, Ajhi’s Rage Room, SalveoWell, and Baguio Country Sounds La Trinidad, the event is supported by various local businesses and entities committed to promoting martial arts in the region.

The undercard boasts equally captivating matchups, featuring John Ira Barrinetos versus Duane Pascua, Ezra Saclag against Wilmer Salpad, Firoz Khan squaring off against Eugene Tabinga, and a featherweight battle between Jed Sayud and Daryle Wadasen.

Adding a kickboxing flair to the night, Gamebar Angcaway faces Christian Gutierrez, and female fighters Jerlyn Kingad and Jhen Buzon showcase their skills, accompanied by Jyrisce Gean Legaspi taking on Judah Paul Saingan.

Kicking off the event with an electrifying energy are Elvester Gaspar and Rueben Sawang, setting the stage for an unforgettable night of martial arts prowess and skillful combat.

Coach Mark Sangiao emphasized that the “Benguet Explosion” goes beyond being just an MMA event.
