PNP chief leads equipment turnover at Camp Bado Dangwa

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police General Benjamin C. Acorda, Jr., the Chief of the Philippine National Police, took the lead in a ceremonial turn-over of vital medical equipment and vehicles to various units of the Police Regional Office (PRO) Cordillera in a heartwarming gesture that exemplified the commitment of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to its personnel and the communities they serve.

This event marked a significant highlight of the 122nd Police Service Anniversary celebration held at Camp Major Bado Dangwa in La Trinidad, Benguet.

The Regional Medical and Dental Unit- Cordillera orchestrated the turnover of essential resources, ensuring the welfare and mobility of the police force.

The items provided included medical kits, wheelchairs, and ambulances, which will undoubtedly bolster the PRO Cordillera’s capacity to serve the region effectively.

Under the compassionate guidance of PGen Acorda, the following allocations were made:

  • Apayao Police Provincial Office (PPO) and Mountain Province PPO were each presented with four (4) medical kits, one (1) wheelchair, and one (1) ambulance, enhancing their ability to provide medical assistance promptly and efficiently.

  • The Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 (RMFB15) received seven (7) medical kits, which will undoubtedly augment their emergency medical response capabilities.

  • Abra PPO and Baguio CPO each obtained four (4) essential medical kits, further strengthening their readiness to address medical emergencies effectively.

  • Ifugao PPO and Kalinga PPO were provided with four (4) medical kits and one (1) wheelchair each, a significant addition to their medical resources.

In a bid to enhance police mobility for emergency response, disaster management, and other operational requirements, the PNP also allocated several vehicles:

  • Baguio City Police Office (CPO) received two (2) units of 4×2 patrol jeeps, which will significantly bolster their response capabilities.

  • RMFB15 was allocated one (1) unit of a Mitsubishi 4×4 personnel carrier (double cab), an invaluable addition to their fleet.

  • The 2nd Mountain Province Provincial Mobile Force Company also obtained one (1) unit of a Mitsubishi 4×4 personnel carrier (double cab), enhancing their mobility in the region.

These initiatives are part of the PNP Enhanced Capability program for Calendar Year 2023, reflecting the PNP’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of both its personnel and the communities they serve.
