Police intensify training efforts to counter insurgency, crime, and terrorism

CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – A new class of Basic Internal Security Operations Course (BISOC) has officially started following the opening program held in the Masigasig Grandstand, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on September 28, 2023.

Eighty strong police officers from the different units of PRO Cordillera will undergo two (2) months of rigid training that aims to sharpen their interoperability and combat operation skills in the field.

The training will focus on honing the tactical skills of the police officers, helping them have the right mindset, instinct, discipline, and character, and equipping them with knowledge and skills on the different strategies for combating insurgency, criminality, and terrorism.

Key officers present during the opening program included Regional Operations Division (ROD) chief James D. Mangili; Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division (RLDDD) chief Marvin S. Diplat; Regional Special Training Unit-Cordillera (RSTU-COR) officer-in-charge Arnold C. Dugas; and RLDDD asst. chief Allan B. Guyguyon.

In his message, PCOL Mangili encouraged the participants to seize this opportunity and actively engage in the various training activities and lectures.

He emphasized that by doing so, they would be better equipped to apply the knowledge and skills acquired in their respective units upon completion of the training.
