UNIQLO has officially arrived in La Union, bringing its signature LifeWear essentials to the heart of the “Surfing Capital of the North.”
The global apparel retailer opens its first store in the province on October 17, 2025 at SM City La Union in San Fernando City, marking a major expansion in Northern Luzon.
Designed to suit the region’s relaxed coastal lifestyle, the new store offers LifeWear pieces made for the tropics—from light, breathable fabrics to functional clothing perfect for daily use and weekend escapes.
The branch will cater not only to locals and nearby communities but also to the growing number of tourists flocking to La Union’s beaches, surf spots, and creative destinations.
To celebrate its launch, UNIQLO SM City La Union is offering exclusive deals from October 17 to 23. Among the opening highlights:
Limited offers also extend to nearby UNIQLO neighborhood stores, including DRY-EX Crew Neck T-shirts and AIRism Cotton Pique Polo Shirts at special prices.
Shoppers visiting the store from October 17 to 23 can also enjoy exclusive novelties.
Customers with a minimum single-receipt purchase of ₱2,500 will receive a free UNIQLO Thermal Mug, while the first 1,000 shoppers will get a UNIQLO Bag Charm just by presenting their receipt and having the UNIQLO App scanned.
Online customers aren’t left out. From October 10 to 19, every ₱500 Click & Collect purchase at UNIQLO SM City La Union comes with a free tote bag, redeemable upon in-store pickup.
UNIQLO added a community touch by partnering with beloved La Union establishments Masa Bakehouse and The Coffee Library.
From October 17 to 20, the first 100 customers daily will receive complimentary bread from Masa Bakehouse, followed by free coffee vouchers from The Coffee Library from October 21 to 23.
True to its commitment to social responsibility, UNIQLO is launching several sustainability initiatives alongside its store opening.
In partnership with Project CURMA (Coastal Underwater Resource Management Actions), the brand will hold a beach clean-up along the San Fernando coastline.
UNIQLO is also donating 100 UV Protection Jackets to CURMA’s partner fisherfolk and sponsoring training workshops for 50 community members.
In support of marine conservation, the brand will adopt three turtle nests this season—protecting an estimated 240 to 360 turtle eggs.
With exciting promos, strong community ties, and sustainability efforts in place, UNIQLO SM City La Union sets the tone for a vibrant new chapter in the north.
