KABAYAN, Benguet – The Kabalyero cops of the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) recently spearheaded a remarkable project that has illuminated and transformed the lives of 12 households.
On Tuesday, December 19, 2023, a Turn-over Ceremony was held at Sitio Otbong, Brgy Anchukey, Kabayan, marking the successful installation of house solar panels, a move that promises to revolutionize the daily lives of these families.
Aside from the ceremonial ribbon cutting, the ceremony highlighted the electrifying moment when the Pailaw was officially switched on, symbolizing the official handover of the solar panels to the beneficiaries.
This groundbreaking project was made possible through the generous funding from Consul Ren Faquiang, the Head Consulate of the People’s Republic of China in Laoag City.
A total of 12 house solar panels were donated to families in both Brgy Anchukey and Brgy Eddet, underscoring a commitment to reaching out to those living in the farthest corners of Benguet.
The endeavor, dubbed the Pailaw Project and part of Oplan Bumadang, was spearheaded by Benguet PPO under the visionary leadership of Provincial Director PCOL Damian Olsim.
This collaborative effort involved the Benguet PPO Provincial Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (PAGPTD), chaired by the esteemed Governor of Benguet, Hon. Melchor D. Diclas, along with various stakeholders.
The successful implementation of this project serves as a beacon of hope for other remote areas in Benguet, signaling the potential for further transformative endeavors to uplift the lives of its residents.
As the lights turn on in these 12 homes, they symbolize not just illumination but a brighter future for the entire community.
