BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — In a continued effort to promote literacy and lifelong learning, SM Cares, in partnership with SM City Baguio, turned over books collected from its Book Nook Donation Drive to the Baguio City Public Library on November 3, 2025.

Leading the turnover was SM City Baguio Mall Manager Philip Baysac, together with mall administration volunteers, while City Librarian Ms. Easter Wahayna-Pablo received the donation on behalf of the library.

The initiative underscores SM’s commitment to nurturing a culture of reading and ensuring access to educational resources within the community.

Anchored on the theme “Under the Same Sky: Share the Magic of Stories,” the Book Nook Donation Drive invites mallgoers to donate new or pre-loved books.

These are then distributed to local libraries and partner institutions to inspire more people, especially children, to discover the joy of reading.

By working hand in hand with the Baguio City Public Library, SM Cares and SM City Baguio reaffirm their shared advocacy for education, inclusivity, and community development.

The turnover highlights the importance of collaboration between private and public institutions in building stronger and smarter communities.

The Book Nook Donation Drive is part of SM Cares’ Education and Literacy Program, which supports SM’s broader mission to empower individuals through education, sustainability, and community engagement.
