BAGUIO CITY — The Baguio City government will close Session Road and a portion of Calderon Street to vehicular traffic on selected Sundays in January and February 2026 to accommodate Spring Festival activities, city officials announced.

Under Executive Order No. 04, Series of 2026, signed by Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong, both lanes of Session Road and part of Calderon Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on January 4, 11, 18, and 25 for chalk art and busking activities.

Road closures will extend from 1 a.m. to 7 p.m. on February 1 and 8 for the setup and dismantling of Spring Festival installations, and from 1 a.m. to 10 p.m. on February 15 and 22 for Little Chinatown activities.

The City Administrator’s Office–Tourism, Culture and Arts Division will serve as the primary coordinator, while the Baguio City Police Office will implement traffic and security plans to minimize public disruption.

The executive order requires participating organizations to ensure orderly event management, including cleanup operations, participant marshalling, on-site monitoring, and submission of post-activity reports.

Several city offices have been directed to provide logistical support, including traffic rerouting, power supply, landscaping, garbage collection, fee assessment, permit issuance, and emergency and fire services.

Authorities said supplemental guidelines may be issued as needed.
