Kabalyero cops foster community engagement with young learners

CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – The Kabalyero cops of the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) extended a warm welcome to young learners from the Cayabyab and Naybo Child Development Centers during their visit to Camp Major Dennis Molintas in Brgy. Bangao, Buguias, on May 4, 2024.

Led by PLTCOL Peter Conrad D. Bangsoy, Force Commander of the Benguet 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), personnel from the 1st PMFC, along with officers from the Eastern Benguet Provincial EOD and Canine Unit, showcased a range of PNP uniforms, offering valuable insights to the enthusiastic learners.

Also,  police officers took on the roles of older siblings and guardians, engaging in heartfelt conversations with the children.

Through sharing personal stories and experiences, they aimed to ignite a passion for academic excellence among the young learners.

Apart from that, they also conducted lectures on the anti-terrorism campaign, anti-squatting laws, bomb awareness, and safety tips for the parents and guardians of the learners.

This initiative is in line with the “Bibong Bata Sa Kampo” best practice of Benguet PPO, which seeks to address the traditional perception of police officers being feared by children and provides an opportunity for police officers to engage in playful activities and bring the hearts of the children closer to the PNP.
