Tabuk City raids: P2M drugs seized, two arrested
Two separate operations in Tabuk City resulted in the discovery of illicit substances worth over P2M and the arrest of two Street Level Individuals (SLIs).
CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet — Four drug personalities will be facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, after they were arrested in a separate buy-bust operations conducted in Abra and Kalinga on August 1-2, 2023.
Citing the records submitted to PROCOR regional director David K. Peredo, Jr., the arrested suspects were identified as Allan Velasco Agod, 28; Jimmy Santiago Moscoso, 65; Marcelino Sanidad Cabanilla Jr., 56; and Raul Bernardez Belmes, 37.
In Tabuk City, Kalinga suspects Agod and Moscoso were arrested by the joint operatives of the Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO) and the Phillippine Drug Enforcement (PDEA) after they sold five sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less (MOL) 0.5 grams with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 3,400 and one transparent cling wrap of suspected Marijuana leaves weighing MOL 1,000 grams with an SDP of Php 120,000 to an operative who acted as poseur buyer.
Meanwhile in Abra, suspects Cabanilla Jr. and Belmes were arrested by anti-illegal drugs operatives of the Abra PPO after they sold one sachet of suspected shabu weighing MOL 5 grams with an estimated SDP of Php 34,000.
Further, in the course of their arrest, another plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing MOL 5.5 grams with an estimated SDP of Php 37,400 was also seized from their possession.
The inventory of the seized pieces of evidence was conducted on-site in the presence of the arrested suspects and witnessed by representatives from the Department of Justice, media, and elected barangay officials.
Earlier, two High-Value Individuals (HVI) were arrested in the weeklong anti-illegal drugs operation conducted by PROCOR Cops from July 23–29, 2023.
