BAGUIO CITY — The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is celebrating its 85th founding anniversary with a commemorative photo exhibit showcasing its rich history and ongoing commitment to democratic governance.

Now open to the public at the Lower Basement of SM City Baguio until October 31, 2025, the exhibit features a curated compilation of photographs from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and the COMELEC Central Office.

These images document institutional milestones and pivotal moments that shaped the country’s electoral processes over eight decades.

The installation not only highlights COMELEC’s modernization and transformation through the years, but also honors generations of election workers who have upheld the principles of transparency, integrity, and public service across the Philippines.

Visitors are invited to explore the evolution of elections in the country — from manual vote counting to automated polls — and reflect on COMELEC’s unwavering mission to guarantee free, fair, and credible elections.

The exhibit forms part of the nationwide celebration of COMELEC’s 85th anniversary, reaffirming the agency’s role in strengthening democratic participation and safeguarding the people’s right to vote.
