BAGUIO CITY — Camp John Hay ushered in its 122nd anniversary on Friday, October 24, with a lively camp-wide parade joined by its employees and business enterprises—kicking off a milestone celebration at one of Baguio City’s most historic and natural treasures.
John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) President and CEO Manjit Singh Reandi, in his welcome message, emphasized the responsibility the camp continues to shoulder as Baguio’s leading ecological guardian.
“The camp has been caring for more than 50% of the entire Baguio City’s forest reserves,” Reandi said.
“We continue to preserve what needs to be preserved and develop what needs to be developed… and it’s not an easy task.”
He credited the enterprises operating inside the camp for actively supporting its mission, noting that their cooperation has helped maintain Camp John Hay’s ecological and tourism value.
He also expressed appreciation for their involvement in the celebration.
As a gift to the community, Reandi announced several perks that will allow more residents and visitors to enjoy the camp’s iconic attractions:
Public-Free Anniversary Perks (Oct. 25–29, 2025)
✅ Historical Core – free entry
✅ Scout Hill Picnic Grounds – free use
✅ Parking fees waived across the celebration
✅ Mini Golf – fully reopened to the public
Visitors are encouraged to help keep the area pristine by observing the Clean As You Go (CLAYGO) policy.

Reandi extended a warm invitation to all to take part in the milestone event:
“Everyone is warmly invited to join us in commemorating this milestone of Camp John Hay.”
As Camp John Hay continues to balance heritage, recreation, and forest preservation, the anniversary serves as both a celebration and a reminder of why the landmark remains a beloved sanctuary in the heart of Baguio City.
