SALLAPADAN, Abra – In a heartwarming display of community service and compassion, the 2nd Abra Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) brought the joy of Christmas to Sitio Lam-awan and Sitio Gayaman in Brgy. Bazar, Sallapadan, Abra.

A total of 53 families were the fortunate recipients of the “Pamaskong Handog” program on December 13, 2023.

The initiative was spearheaded by Force Commander Dickson K. Banes, who rallied the team to contribute funds voluntarily.

Their collective efforts enabled the purchase of essential grocery items and snacks to be distributed among the residents of these remote communities.

Undertaking a journey that exemplified their commitment to service, the officers of the 2nd Abra PMFC traversed a route spanning almost 2 hours, followed by an additional 30-minute trek on foot, to reach the distant Sitios.

Once there, they generously distributed grocery packs and preloved clothes to the grateful beneficiaries.

The selection of Sitio Lam-awan and Sitio Gayaman for this outreach program aimed not just to deliver tangible aid but also to foster the genuine spirit of Christmas in these secluded areas.

The endeavor sought to embody the organization’s dedication to serving the community and to reflect the core values of compassion, generosity, and solidarity, especially during the Yuletide season.
