198 PRO COR cops complete public safety basic course

BAGUIO CITY — 198 police trainees from Batch 2022-01 “MABIDANG,” successfully completed their Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) on June 7, 2023 at the Cordillera Administrative Region Training Center (CARTC).
 
In a statement, PRO COR said the graduates are now prepared to embark on their Field Training Program (FTP), having been equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
 
The graduation rites took place at the Benitez Hall in Teacher’s Camp.
 
Three graduates were given Certificates of Merit for their outstanding performance during the course:
 
  • Pat Allan B. Luzano (93.40%);
  • Pat Khier M. Pudoc (92.85%); and
  • Pat Marissa Guinsad (92.09%)
Furthermore, National Police Training Institute (NPTI) Director Leadership Awards were given to the following:
 
  • Pat Clifford K Valdez, for serving as the Class President; and
  • Pat Kyle Ador B. Cawaing, for serving as Battalion Commander.
The momentous event was graced by PROCOR regional director David K. Peredo, Jr., who was the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
 
In his message, PBGEN Peredo extended his sincere congratulations to the graduates for their dedication, hard work, and sacrifices throughout the course.
 
He emphasized the importance of applying the knowledge and skills they acquired during their training, aligning with the 5-focused agenda of the Chief, Philippine National Police (CPNP), and his Disiplina, Kakayahan, Pagmamahal (DKP) program.
 
PBGEN Peredo encouraged the graduates to make the most of their 6-month FTP as they embark on their professional journey.
 
The graduation ceremony was  also  attended by distinguished guests, including Regional Special Training Unit (RSTU) chief Leon Talleo; CARTC Staff and Tactics led by acting chief Avelino M. Garrido, Jr.; and the families of the police trainees.
 
The PSBRC is a 24-week intensive and progressive training designed for newly-appointed police non-commissioned officers to provide newly them with the basic knowledge and skills in police science, administration, combat operation and tactics and for them to acquire the norms of conduct required in the performance of their jobs as guardians of peace and protectors of lives and properties.
